The photographs in this section were taken on September 27, 2001. Two weeks and 2 days after the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center that killed over 6,000 people including 343 FDNY Members.

At FDNY Engine 1/Ladder 24. The memorial that includes Father Mychal Judge whose church is across the street, and items sent from all over the country to the FDNY. This station lost 3 firefighters plus Father Mike.

Brand new Engine 1, Father Mikes Church and Engine 16/Ladder 7.

At FDNY Engine 16/Ladder 7 the makeshift memorial inside the fire station, yet another outside the station and items from well wishes the country over. They lost 4 members.

At FDNY Engine 3/Ladder 12/Battalion 7. Two memorials outside the station and a sign honoring the 5 members who lost their lives in the WTC collapse.

E3/L7/B6 an outside memorial, Engine 14's house they escaped without losing 1 member, and passersby look at the memorial outside of Engine 14.

The World Trade Center remains as shot from Rector St two blocks down from Trinity Church and Wall St.

Remains of one of the "Twin Towers" of the World Trade Center and an abandoned CT car. The windows were punched out by the FDNY to run supply line to the hydrant on the otherside of the Jersey Barrier.
